Description
Grégoire MATHIAS (1967-)
Acrylic on canvas. Signed lower right. Countersigned and titled on the back.
80x60cm.
Not framed.
This work is typical of the style invented by Grégroire Mathias, the diachronic cubism. In this large painting he summarizes a whole convivial banquet in the Dordogne, with some good wine.
Grégoire Mathias is the inventor of diachronic cubism. A new branch of cubism which explores both landscapes, situations and above all the notion of time. These works are both a decomposition of subjects, lights and a defined time. It should be noted that since 2020 the artist has produced UN posters via WFUNA, and that he is the first French artist to produce works for the association after Picasso, Chagall, Miro and Vasarely.
